### Atomic Spectroscopy

This question is in the post-assessment and I had a little trouble with it. I'm assuming we have to combine equations but was just wondering which ones. Any conceptual tips would help too!
In the hydrogen atomic spectrum, what is the wavelength of light associated with the n = 2 to n = 1 electron transition?
A. 8.20 x 106 m B. -8.20 x 10-7 m C. -1.22 x 10-7 m D. 1.22 x 10-7 m

### Re: Atomic Spectroscopy

We have to use the formula for finding the energy of an energy transition (E = Rh/n^2) and E = hv to get the frecuency

### Re: Atomic Spectroscopy

In addition to the previous reply, after getting the frequency you need to use speed of light= frequency times wavelength to obtain the wavelength since that is what we are precisely asked for.
