Bohr Frequency Condition versus Rydberg Equation

In discussion, we were told that it might be helpful to use the Rydberg Equation instead of the Bohr Frequency Condition because it is easier to understand (it has no negatives etc.) However, the output of the Bohr is an Energy while the output of the Rydberg is a Velocity so I don't understand how/if they can be used interchangeably. In what different circumstances would you use these equations?

The Rydberg equation represents the frequency of the radiation emitted from a transition from two quantum levels of energy. Dr. Lavelle's method to find the frequency takes a different approach, where the energy of each level is calculated to find the change in energy using and the frequency is calculated from that energy difference using
