Atomic Spectra Module Question

Postby Rose_Malki_3G » Tue Oct 06, 2020 1:36 pm

If 1 million photons in the UV region are absorbed by a hydrogen gas sample how many electrons are excited to a higher energy level?

I believe it would be 1 million. You can think of it as a 1:1 ratio between photons absorbed and electrons that could be excited.
