### Hydrogen Spectra

I know that the Lyman series corresponds to the UV region and the Balmer series is associated with the visible region, but is there a series name that corresponds to the infrared region?

### Re: Hydrogen Spectra

I looked it up and the Paschen, Brackett, and Pfund series are all in the infrared region. I am assuming we will not be required to know these though.

Hope this helps!

### Re: Hydrogen Spectra

Yeah! There are actually three series that are part of the infrared region. My TA touched on this subject a little during discussion.

Here's a picture that helped me understand the series a little more.
