Chirality

Postby Ellen Lozada 3L » Thu Nov 30, 2023 2:13 pm

I am confused about the difference between chirality and deciding whether or not a molecule is superimposable. Is 'superimposability' just used to decide if a molecule is chiral or not?

I believe they are the same thing, as they mean that the molecules are a mirror image, and I think if one is superimposable it would also be chiral.
