Ring Flipping

Can someone please explain ring flipping in a little more detail? I'm still confused. Thank you.

Ring flipping is how we describe when a cyclkoalkane, most commonly cyclohexane, inverts. In this way, equatorial atoms because axial and vice versa. Here is a great image from Wikipedia showing the process of ring flipping:

Another way to think of ring flipping is "chair flipping." This website has a good explanation:
