Specific direction needed for perspective formula?

Postby Chem_Mod » Tue Aug 30, 2011 1:16 am

Question: Does it matter how you draw the stereoisomers in perspective formula as long as they have the correct names? Do the atoms and groups have to go a certain direction in the perspective formula?

Answer: Correct. No preferred direction, as long as the name matches the structure.
