Knowing molecule formulas by the name?

Postby Aisha Randhawa 2G » Sun Nov 05, 2023 10:25 pm

Hi,
On textbook problem 2C3, we need to draw Lewis diagrams for molecules such as 'periodate ion', 'chloric acid' and 'hydrogen phosphate', without the question providing us with the formula.
For the next midterm, are we expected to already know the formulas to these molecules?

For all those I covered in class and covered in the assigned problems in the syllabus, yes.
