Oxidation of state metals

Postby Kailyncanez3G » Wed Nov 29, 2023 11:48 pm

How does the oxidation of a state metal affect the color of the complex and how would I solve for it?

As oxidation increases, the d-orbitals split, which changes the way visible light is reflected by the atom and the way we see the light. There are tables that show the color based off of the level of d-orbitals.
