How do you determine a weak monoprotic is ionized according to a reaction? and how do you find the conjugate base to HA?

when the pH is greater than pKa, the acid will be negatively charged because the solution is more alkaline, and the molecule will release H+ causing and A- ion. When the pH is less than the pKa, the acid will be neutral because the acid will remain in molecular form
