I would also like to know how others are studying for this. I end up drawing out everything I know (without notes or textbook) about different concepts/topics we have gone over and from there can see the holes in my thought processes. Explaining concepts to others or pretending to also helps see what you actually understand about the concept.
I think it is helpful to just give yourself time to process more conceptual questions. If there is such a topic, it helps to just sit and think it out, even explain it to yourself or someone else. Drawing it out also seems really helpful, I think I will try it next time!
I find it really helpful to watch videos on the concept, I like Crash Course Chemistry. I watch the video and take notes on it. It's also helpful to explain the concept to other people. If you can explain the concept without using notes you have a full understanding of the concept.
