Re: Midterm studying
I find completing practice problems extremely helpful! Try to do all the hw problems and other problems in the textbook. Also, reviewing the tests and going over the problems again and your mistakes.

There are a ton of peer learning sessions and office hours, not to mention all the other tools Professor Lavelle has given us on our class website.

I think that going to the peer learning sessions are very helpful. I have gone to quite a few over the past few weeks, and the UA's have helped me understand the material better! Also listening to other students' questions is very useful too.

Thank you for the reminder. I had completely forgotten about the review session.

I think for any Chemistry test, practice practice practice and then practice some more. Practice until the material becomes so easy that you can do it in your sleep. Try as many different problems as you can. Do all the problems in your textbook, try Khan Academy, there are practice problems here https://chem.libretexts.org/
Practice until your eyes bleed!

Re: Midterm studying
I found that completing the online modules on the class website is helpful in reviewing lecture material and building a strong conceptual foundation. Then, I simply do many hw problems to master the different types of problems. I also plan on going to some review sessions this week.
