14B enrollment

Postby LexyDenaburg_3A » Mon Dec 07, 2020 9:57 am

Will what we've learned in 14A carry over a lot into what we will start learning in 14B?

Yes, I believe they're very connected, especially with the acid/base topic because Chem 14B includes equilibria and we go into more depth.

Yeah they're definitely very closely related! Especially since in a lot of our lectures Dr. Lavelle often mentions that we will cover more in-depth on a topic in 14B and he also said a few times how we're setting up to understand 14B

Yes I think so. I believe the entire chem 14 series carries over and chem 14c is organic chemistry.

I believe 14B will pick up where 14A left off, so a continuation of acids and bases.

I think so! Chem14A gave us the foundation of what we’ll learn more in Chem14B ツ

Yes, organic chemistry is a larger component of Chem 14B which we touched on near the end of 14A.

Most of the concepts that we go over in 14A will be applied in 14B. This is probably especially seen with the material we covered with acids and bases, since we only touched on the surface of this subject before the final.

Yes. Dr. Lavelle has designed this course to flow smoothly, with every new topic covered being built upon the previous topics discussed. Since we ended with an introduction to acids and bases in Chem 14A, I believe we will begin with a more detailed explanation of acids and bases in Chem 14B.
