General Question about MO Diagrams

Postby kshalbi » Sat Oct 31, 2015 6:30 pm

If on the midterm there is a question that requires us to draw MO Diagrams for four different molecules, do we have to draw all four diagrams, or can we just use the same one and erase the arrows on it?
Thank you

I would draw them all just to avoid any confusion. Also, it would be easier for the graders to find partial points to give you.

I did hear that if it ask for all four, you are REQUIRED to do all four.

It's always better to do the diagrams because a lot of the points and partial credit points come from the diagrams so if you didn't do it for the midterm it's good to keep it in mind for the final. The diagrams also help show your process so if you did make a mistake the grader can see where you went wrong and if the rest of your work is correct based off of your mistakes you should still get points for it. Hope that was helpful!!
