Deprotonate/Protonate

Postby BriannaDis2C » Wed Dec 01, 2021 3:30 pm

Which type of acids are the type where almost all the molecules deprotonate/protonate? Is this the more common acid?

Hi,

weak acids tend to protonate and strong acids tend to deprotonate.

Deprotonate acids remove the proton from an acid-base reaction while protonate acids add a proton.
