Does Alkalinity affect surface tension

Does Alkalinity affect surface tension

When soap is added to water, the surface tension is greatly decreased. Is the increased alkalinity responsible for that?

Hello! No it does not because surface tension is pretty much independent from alkalinity. Hope this helps! :)
