Achieve Wk. 4 Question 13

Postby 905934067 » Tue Oct 31, 2023 8:32 pm

Hi, I was wondering when we know to use the De Brogile equation to find the wavelength or the speed of light equation to find the wavelength? This question we are given the wavelength, but I was just curious how it would apply in the future? Do we use the De Brogile when finding velocity and the speed of light equation when finding frequency? This is what I am thinking but would love some clarification if you have any on this topic?

Hello!
De Broglie Equation is used to find wavelength when given mass/ velocity is given and it can be rearranged to find mass or velocity when given wavelength. Your statement of using the equation to find velocity and using the speed of light equation when finding frequency would be correct. I hope this helped!
