What are wavelengths are detectable in a lab?

I am not fully sure what this question is asking, but visible light can be detected by the eye but there are several more that can be studied such as radiom microwaves, infrared, UV, x ray, and gamma rays. Those last 3 are the the only ones that can eject electrons.
