verified/detected wavelengths

a wavelength is hard to detect when smaller than 10^-10 correct? Why this specific value and what the reasoning behind it?

I have the same question about the specific reasoning, but I believe Lavelle said in class that the cut off is anything smaller than 10^-14 or
10^-16. I was trying to piece the reasoning together in my head..I pictured that if the trough to trough distance was too small it wouldn't operate as a parabolic wave any longer..it's almost not a wave..if you were to draw it out, the shorter the wavelength the more it looks like a line. I would like to know for sure though.

A very small wavelength such as 10^-10 would have a high frequency which means it would have a lot of energy and oscillate very fast which would make it hard to detect.
