Measurable wavelengths
In class, some of the examples asked if the calculated wavelengths could be detected in a lab experiment but what value can actually be classified as a measurable wavelength to have wave properties?

Re: Measurable wavelengths
In my 10-11 lecture, he said when the value is x10^-18 or more, someone asked that question too in my class. However, not sure what makes that value suddenly detectable as compared to other values, like if it is a specific threshold or boundary of a value.

Re: Measurable wavelengths
In the 12-1 lecture Dr. Lavelle also said wavelike properties are measurable when the De Brogile wavelength is at least (some value)x10^-18.

Re: Measurable wavelengths
Lavelle also discussed in class that the answers will usually be easy to distinguish. For instance, the answers will be about 10^-12 rather than 10^20. He will not make it to where we have to use our own judgement to see if it is one thing or the other. He said they will be obvious enough for us to know. Non-measurable wavelengths will be around 10^-30.
