Wave Properties of Electrons and the De Broglie Equation Post-Module Assessment

Postby Ben 1B » Sat Oct 12, 2019 4:00 pm

Which steps would one need to take to answer question 38 from the Wave Properties of Electrons and the De Broglie Equation Post-Module Assessment? Which formulas are necessary to answer this question?
38) At what velocity is an electron moving if it has a de Broglie wavelength of 7.0 × 10-11 m?

Plug the given information into the De Broglie equation, lambda = h/mv
The wavelength is given and the mass of the electron can be found in your textbook. Then solve for velocity
