Frequency and wavelength

Postby Norman Dis4C » Thu Oct 17, 2019 4:30 pm

Can we also find the frequency of the object using the DeBrogile Equation after we find the wavelength?

If the object isn't some sort of electromagnetic radiation you can't really assume it travels at the speed of light and find the frequency that way.

You would need to know the energy of the object if you wanted to calculate its frequency using the De Broglie equation because E=hv. You would need to substitute E/v for h into the De Broglie equation to solve for frequency.
