Midterm 2019 Question 3A

Postby SarahSteffen_LEC4 » Wed Nov 13, 2019 3:49 pm

I am unsure why the solutions manual to the midterm is using (9.109 X 10^-34 kg) when using the De Broglie Equation instead of using (9.109 X 10^-31 kg), which is what we've been using on homework problems for questions like these?

I think that the solutions manual has an error. Our constants and equation sheet says 9.109 X 10^-31 kg and I used this value on my exam and received full credit.

The solution manual is wrong, I used 9.109383 * 10^-31 and got 7.3 nm, which is the correct answer.

Return to “DeBroglie Equation”
