Is Q5 #27 correct?
It gives a table with the different concentrations for A+3B --> Products, so we can find the rate law.
B is zero order but for A we have the data Initial [A] = 0.217 for rate = 3 and initial [A] = 0.819 for rate = 27 while B is constant. Shouldn't this mean that the reaction is third order in A because 0.819/0.217 = 3 and 3^3 = 27? The answer key says the rate law is k[A]^2

Hello!
We find rate by comparing the rates to each other. For #27, when [A] triples, the rate is multiplied by 9. 3^2=9, so A is in second order. Hope it helps!
