Uncertainty principle question

Postby yast_27 » Sun Nov 04, 2018 11:41 am

Hi!

When a question is asked with "the speed is 345m/s +/- 0.4,
Is the uncertainty in speed 0.4m/s or 0.8m/s?

Thank you very much!

The uncertainty would be twice the value of the difference in speed, so it would be 0.8 m/s.

you would have to double it therefore it would be 0.8m/s
