determining uncertainty in momentum

Postby Gisela F Ramirez 2H » Sun Dec 09, 2018 3:03 pm

I want to make sure that I know how to solve this problem: an electron is at about 1.00nm, find the uncertainty in its momentum

How do you go about solving a problem like this?

Uncertainty in momentum times uncertainty in position is greater than or equal to planck's constant over 4 pi. You are given the uncertainty in position. Plug it into the equation and solve the inequality.
