Could someone explain the homework problem #1.B 15) What is the minimum uncertainty in the speed of an electron confined within a lead atom of diameter 350. pm? Model the atom as a one-dimensional box with a length equal to the diameter of the actual atom.

Use Heisenberg’s uncertainty principle with the given diameter of the atom as deltax, the uncertainty in the position of the electron. Remember to convert the units of the diameter to meters first

The part where they say "Model the atom as a one-dimensional box with a length equal to the diameter of the actual atom." just means make delta x = to diameter. That's basically what you always do when you see diameter and uncertainty. Then you get speed by changing delta p into m times delta v and solving for delta v
