h bar

I was looking at the examples in the book in Topic 1B and they use the equation except the h has a line through it to represent h bar. It seems like it's a constant 1.05457x10^-34 but what exactly does it represent? Because to calculate uncertainty in class we used and h was Planck's constant

h bar is just a simplified way of talking about Plank's constant. If the book uses h bar they are talking about h divided by 2π.

ℏ= reduced Planck's constant

ℏ= h/(2π)

h bar is also good for calculations that have precise measurements dealing with subatomic particles

H BAR is refering to plancks constant and manipulates it when doing problems.
