Is distance in meters for the equation
Should I use meters when calculating the displacement (the x part ) in the equation or nanometers?

Re: Is distance in meters for the equation
For the Heisenberg indeterminacy equation, you should use meters for the delta x (indeterminacy in position). This is generally the default, as the meter is the SI unit of length. If values are given in nanometers, you should convert them to meters first before completing the calculation.

Remember to convert the velocity if it's not given in m/s!

Since meters are the SI unit for distance I would think yes you would calculate it in meters.

When using the equation, you have to use meters when doing calculations. Planks constant uses meters, so you need to convert the momentum into meters if not already given in that.

Re: Is distance in meters for the equation
You would use the distance in meters when calculating uncertainty. This can be confirmed by comparing the units on either side of the inequality.
Re: Is distance in meters for the equation
Yes, meters are SI units, which are generally used in equations.

Re: Is distance in meters for the equation
Yes, you would use meters because meters are the SI units in this case.
