Final Review Question

Postby Maylin Garcia » Sat Dec 09, 2023 6:40 pm

I went to the TA review session today and there was a mention of Wavefunctions and probability densities and nodes. I don't remember learning this in class but I'm not sure if this is something that will be on the final exam. It has to do with nodes and the significance of the square of the wavefunction which I know was on the midterm. I'm just wondering what is relevant here.

Hi, the only thing we learned about in class was that the wave function squared gives the probability of finding an electron. I also think that the wave function equation describes a wave. But you don't need to memorize the equation or know how to solve it.
