N Quantum Number
Does the n quantum number represent the number before the letter that represents the shape? For example, n=2 is 2s or 2p orbital?

Yes the n quantum number represents the energy level the electron is at. It doesn't tell us orbital shape, orientation or the spin of the electrons. Therefore, n=2 can be 2s or 2p.

Yes, the principle quantum number n determines the energy and size, and is also called a shell. The angular momentum quantum number l corresponds to the s/p/d/f-orbitals and describes the shape.

n represents the size and energy and is the shell.
s,p,d,f are all determining the shape
