Lecture Question
So why did Dr. Lavelle include ... after the L quantum numbers for s,p,d,f,... if theres only four blocks??

there are higher energy orbitals that theoretically exist--> g would be the next one which would require 121 protons

There are other levels that exist, but we'll just need to focus on s, p, d, and f, because those are the four main orbital types.

I think the course will only cover these 4 orbitals cuz more would be more complex.

he said we only need to know the 4 for now I don't know if that means we're gonna cover the rest in the future or not but at least for this test we only need to know s,p,d,f
