Electron in Center of Orbital

Postby Dustin Shin 2I » Mon Oct 29, 2018 12:05 am

I do not understand this concept at all. I read over a question where it asks what are the chances that an electron is in the center of an orbital. How would we calculate this if we could at all?

We would need to apply the Schrodinger's Equation in order to calculate the probability of locating an electron at a certain place around the atom which is beyond the scope of this class.
