Radial Distribution Function

Postby Andrew F 2L » Sat Oct 26, 2019 3:21 pm

Are we expected to understand how to use the Radial Distribution Function in its entirety to calculate the probability of finding an e-? It seems like a confusing equation and I can't remember if Dr. Lavelle wanted us to completely remember it

I don't think that it was explicitly mentioned in the outline for the Quantum World unit, and I never heard him state it in class.

I could be wrong, though.

Yeah, I saw that in the textbook too but he never mentioned it in class so I doubt it.

it wasn't stated in the learning outline so i am assuming we do not have to know how to do that

I do not think you are expected to know how to use the radical distribution function.
