Electron Configurations

Postby Diana A 2L » Mon Nov 04, 2019 12:10 am

When we do electron configurations for elements, lets say we get an element like nitrogen with 3p^3 at the end. On the midterm, should we write it as 3p^3 or as px, py, pz?

3p^3 is fine, I don't think we'll need to specify px, py, pz.

Yes, in the review session I went to today, the TA said we didn't have to specify px, py, pz
