The magnetic quantum number can be determined by the angular momentum quantum number. ml can be from -l to l.
E.g. If l=2, ml can be -2,-1,0,1,2.
E.g. If l=2, ml can be -2,-1,0,1,2.

Magnetic quantum number is based on l, hence m sub l is used as the variable for the magnetic quantum number. The number can be any number -l...l which is a whole number.

To determine magnetic quantum number (ml), you must look at the angular momentum number (l). ml can be any value from -l to +l. For example, if l=2, then ml=-2, -1, 0, 1, 2. If l=0, then ml has one possible value, = 0.

if the angular momentum quantum number (l) is known, then the possible magnetic quantum numbers (ml) can be determined by listing all of the integer numbers from -l to +l.

The magnetic quantum number (ml) is based on l, the angular momentum quantum number, and ranges from -l to l. So, if l=1 then ml=-1,0,1.

The magnetic quantum number is dependent on the angular momentum number. The angular momentum number or L determines the magnetic quantum number as it is -L to +L, so if L=3 then the magnetic quantum number can be -3,-2,-1,0,1,2,3.

The magnetic quantum numbers is the -l to l values. If l=1, then ml would be -1, 0, and 1.

It goes from the negative to positive l values so for l = 2, the ml would be -2,-1,0,1.2
