Hi! Could someone maybe give me a quick summary of the important equations we've learned about? I'm a little confused on how each would be used. Thank you!

λ = wavelength
v = frequency ( or nu)
v = velocity
p = momentum
m = mass

The main equations used in Quantum so far are E=hv, c= λv, ( Esubn = -hR/n^2, λ=h/p, Kinetic Energy=1/2mv^2, and the uncertainty inequalities. In particular the first four equations listed are meant to determine certain variables such as wavelength, Energy of a photon, Kinetic Energy, frequency, and momentum. The constants are c= speed of light, h= Planck's constant, and R= Rydberg's constant.

This will help you become familiar with the constants and equations that are provided and how to use them. Mke sure you understand what each variable represents and how to correctly apply the equations.

Hey! I would recommend printing out the constants sheet as well! This has all of the important equations and you can use it on the midterm!

I agree! Using the formula sheet while doing the hw problems help a lot. You should familiarize yourself with the constants and equations there so during the exam you'll know where to look and how to derive equations that might not be on the formula sheet.
