Orbital Shapes

Postby Sofia Cerpa 2E » Tue Nov 30, 2021 2:38 pm

hello professor,

i know we went over the shapes of s-, p-, and d- orbitals this quarter, so will we be going over the f-orbital shapes in 14B, since they are more advanced and complicated as you stated in the lecture?

f-orbitals are covered in more specialized 2 and 3rd year chemistry classes.

In general chemistry the s-, p-, and d-blocks in the periodic table are covered, which we already did in Chem 14A.
