The fourth Quantum number
In what circumstance is the usage of the fourth quantum (ms) number necessary? How does it influence the structure of complex atomic orbitals and electron distribution within multi-electron atoms in comparison to H-atoms?

Re: The fourth Quantum number
The fourth quantum number describes the spin of an atom, either -1/2 or +1/2. Like discussed in lecture, no two electrons in the same atom have the same four quantum numbers, I think how this influence atomic orbitals is that there are no more than two electrons in each orbital (one e- spin -1/2 while the other e- spin +1/2). In terms of electron distribution within multi-electron atoms or H-atoms, I'm curious about that too.
Re: The fourth Quantum number
that there are no more than two electrons in each orbital and that they have to have opposite spins is electron Distribion is affected.
