Postby DevanCornelio_1I » Thu Oct 26, 2023 12:00 am

Why do electrons stay in these cell shapes?

I believe it's due to the attraction of the e- towards the nucleus (positively charged), as well as electron-electron repulsion that result in the shape that they are

Electrons exhibit specific orbital shapes due to their wave-like nature as described by quantum mechanics. These shapes represent regions of higher probability where electrons are likely to be found around the nucleus.
