What is the meaning of degeneration of an element?

Degenerate atomic orbitals are orbitals that have the same energy level.

Degeneration refers to all the orbitals having the same energy. For example, the three orbitals in 3p are considered degenerate because they have the same energy.

Degenerate means having the same energy. In the context of orbitals, degeneracy refers to all atomic orbitals in the same subshell
