The possible quantum numbers of a 3p orbital include the following.

n=3
l=1
m(l)=-1, 0, 1
m(s)=-0.5, 0.5

These may be written as the following sets of {n, l, m(l), m(s)}.

{3, 1, -1, 0.5}
{3, 1, 0, 0.5}
{3, 1, 1, 0.5}
{3, 1, -1, -0.5}
{3, 1, 0, -0.5}
{3, 1, 1, -0.5}
