Aufbau principle
Just to clarify—is the Aufbau principle inclusive of the Puali exclusion rule and Hund's rule?

Re: Aufbau principle
As far as I'm aware, they're closely related and the Aufbau Principle originates from Pauli's exclusion principle. When we're writing out electronic configuration, I guess we just have to be mindful of all three.

Re: Aufbau principle
I agree with Ayona. Also,in the powerpoint, it was written that "we apply Pauli Exclusion Principle and Hund's Rule to determine e- configuration," which is what is accomplished through the Aufbau Principle. Hope this helps!

Re: Aufbau principle
They're related. Pauli's Exclusion Principle and Hund's Rule deals with the arrangement of electrons within an orbital. Aufbau's Principle deals with the arrangement of the orbitals (which orbitals are filled first).

Re: Aufbau principle
Yes the pauli exclusion states there are no more than 2e- per orbital and Hund's rule says due to e- repulsion, e- in same subshell will occupy different orbitals with parallel spin
