Topics We Need to Know for the Test
Hi! I know in lecture on Friday that Dr. Lavelle said that we only need to know what was covered in lecture up until Friday for the test. Does that mean we do not need to know electron configurations and periodic trends for the test even though it is on the syllabus for the Quantum World? Just want to make sure! Thank you in advance.

Yes, I think that the last thing we need to know for the test is orbitals and quantum numbers.

As I announced in class Test 2 covers all quantum material up to the end of this week (Week 3)).
We will cover electron configurations, etc., Week 4.

We don't need to know electron configuration or periodic trends.

Would we need to know Coulomb's Law and Effective Nuclear Charge? I know Lavelle gave us the equation in lecture Friday but we haven't really done much with it yet.

Hi! Do we need to know how to derive the three fundamental equations (DeBroglie's, Heisenberg's, and Schrodinger's)?
