s-block, p-block, d-block

Hi just confirming for the midterm we'll only have to be responsible for the configuration of all of the s-block, all the p-block, and just the first row of the d-block?

I'm not positive, but I think I remember Professor Lavelle saying that those are what we have to know for exams. However, I think it is good to know how to find the configuration of all the elements.

My TA also mentioned that we should know/be able to draw the shapes of s, p, and d

yeah we should know the first three rows of the s p and d block and also know the exceptions like Cu and Cr
