Pauli exclusion principle
How does the Pauli exclusion principle pertain to the concept of exclusion?

It excludes the idea that electrons can have the same 3 first quantum numbers, and if they do their 4th one, spin, must be opposite, one spin up and one spin down. It excludes two of the same spins in one orbital.

Only two electrons are allowed per orbital, one with +1/2 and one with -1/2 spin. Therefore, each orbital is excluded to only having two electrons with opposite spins.

The idea of the Pauli exclusion principle is describing that only two electrons can occupy an orbital and both must be in opposite spins, which is exclusive to writing out orbitals for electron configurations. Exclusions for this principle includes: two electrons can not have the same values for all four of their quantum numbers.

The Pauli Exclusion Principle states that no two electrons in the same atom can have identical values for all four of their quantum numbers. That is, no more than two electrons can occupy the same orbital and two electrons in the same orbital have to have opposite spins. Thus, you can think of this being "exclusive" because there are limitations on electrons and their positions.

The Pauli Exclusion principle says that there can't be more than two electrons that fill an orbital. In terms of quantum numbers, this means that for every ml value (magnetic quantum number) there is a maximum of two electrons that can fill up the orbital. Therefore, a p orbital with l=1 has a maximum of 6 electrons because there are 3 orbitals that could have two electrons each.
