Test 2 Topics Covered Question

Postby ariellasarkissian_3H » Sun Oct 21, 2018 3:20 pm

On Friday's lecture (12-12:50), Dr. Lavelle mentioned that we are only responsible for what was covered until that day. The topic covered on that day was multi- electron systems which is the set of "E" problems in the seventh edition of the book. However, on the topic 2 outline, it says that we have problems on the F section as well, titled "Periodicity." Are we responsible for this section of problems for the exam? It is in the topic outline but not in the notes that we covered as far as I know. Thank you!

Im sure we would not be tested on something the Dr.Lavelle did not go over in class. So I would make sure I was super comfortable with everything up to the E set, but it doesnt hurt to read ahead for the F set just to familiarize yourself.

I would definitely read the F section. I would not be surprised to see Lavelle test us on something we haven't gone over.
