Test 2

Postby Lauren Huang 1H » Wed Oct 24, 2018 12:43 am

Will Test 2 covers all the questions from Ch. 2 since the questions cover electron affinity, atomic radius, ionic radius, ionization energy and the periodic trends? And if not, up to which questions would you say the test covers?

Based on the website, it states, "Test 2 covers all quantum material up to and including quantum numbers (all quantum material up to the end of Week 3." Additionally, you can use https://lavelle.chem.ucla.edu/wp-content/supporting-files/Chem14A/Chem14A_Outline2_The_Quantum_World.pdf to help you master the objectives for test 2. Hope this helps!

Hi, I was looking at the CH 2 HW problems, and after taking Test 2, just know up to question 39/41. Basically, once you reach electron configuration, you've gone too far. Just know stuff discussed in lecture (s,p,d,f and possible quantum numbers)

test 2 only covers material up to last friday's lecture, so it includes nothing about periodic table trends
