Why are s-block metals typically more reactive than p-block metals?

The s-block metals have lower ionizations energies and can more easily lose electrons than the p-block metals. This makes it easier for the s-block metals to react and form bonds.

S-block metals are more reactive because they have lower ionization energies than p-block metals. This is because s-block metals have a lower effective nuclear charge than the p-block metals do.
