Ionization Energy (Oxygen)

Why is the ionization energy of oxygen lower than that of nitrogen?

Nitrogen has a half-full p shell so that is more stable than adding one e- in the case of ox. since ox. has 4 e- in the p shell there is more e- repulsion and more of an incentive to lose one e- in order to achieve a more stable half-full p shell
